Chapparal Sharks

MOUNTAIN HI SWIM LEAGUE (MHSL)

The Chapparal Sharks are members of the Mountain High Swim League (MHSL) http://www.mhsl.org along with 25 other teams from Douglas County and the South Denver Metro area.

The league's objective is to provide an organized framework within which coaches, competitors, parents and league officials can operate with courtesy, goodwill and sportsmanship. More importantly, it provides an opportunity for young people to develop swimming skills and gain positive competitive swimming experience.

The 25 teams are divided into 2 divisions based on the preceding year's team size and number of All-Star qualifiers (these became A and B Division). Then they took all the "A" teams and conducted a drawing to determine which teams would compete in the A1 and the A2 division. (the same strategy was implemented for the "B" teams).

We will be swimming in the "A2" division for the 2008 season swimming against the following teams:

Castle Rock
Clarke Farms
Cook Creek
Hills West
South Glenn

Whenever appropriate, MHSL follows the tenants of USA Swimming, the organanizing body for amateur swimming in the United States.
